United Recruiting Solutions is committed to the confidentiality of information and the privacy of individuals and ensures that all personal information collected regarding candidates, employees, host employers and others complies with the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 (as amended) and the Victorian Information Privacy Act 2000.

 

Our Objectives

Our policy objectives are to ensure:

  • Consultants are made aware of their legislative responsibilities;
  • Personal information collected is directly related to employment placement;
  • Sensitive information is only disclosed with consent from the individual;
  • Information is stored appropriately to maintain confidentiality; and
  • The privacy policy is kept up to date to reflect changes in legislation, industry, our operations and technology.

 

Information collected by United Recruiting Solutions:

  • Candidate information submitted and obtained from the candidate and other sources in connection with applications for work;
  • Work performance information;
  • Information about incidents in the workplace;
  • Employment information;
  • Information submitted and obtained in relation to absences from work due to leave, illness or other causes; and/or
  • Information obtained to assist in managing client and business relationships.

 

Disclosure of Personal Information:

United Recruiting Solutions may disclose Personal information to:

  • Potential employers or clients to whom candidates are on-hired to;
  • Nominated referees;
  • Any person or body to whom we are required by law to disclose information;
  • In some circumstances to any competent organisation that conducts background and criminal record checks (provided that the organisation undertakes to comply with privacy laws and keep all information supplied to the organisation confidential); and
  • To educational or vocational organisations to the extent necessary to verify qualifications.

 

Data Security
We will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss or unauthorised access or disclosure. We will destroy any personal information that we hold that is no longer of use to us, other than information that we are required by law to preserve.

Our employees can access individual personal information the company may hold.  To gain access to your personal information, contact a United Recruiting Solutions Management Representative.

 

Keeping information up to date
We may also contact you from time to time to check that the information you have provided is still correct.
